About Me

I own and operate my own studio in Berowra Heights, “Soma Yoga with Steph” where I share my love of vinyasa (linking breath with movement) style yoga to the local community. Gentle movement which allows students to connect to the body, leads to a series of restorative poses and a seated meditation.

A student of yoga for more that 20 years, I have continued to study with many yoga and meditation teachers over the last 10 years. I completed my Level 1 and Level 2 teacher training in 2015 and my teachers have included Nicole Walsh, Simon Borg Olivier, Judith and Lizzie Lasater, Mary Richards and Lorin Roche. The last 2 years have been dedicated to completing my 650 hours Yoga Therapy post graduate diploma with Adore Yoga. I specialise in how yoga can support people living with mental health conditions and I work three days a week in an acute mental health hospital, introducing yoga into my my social work role to support patients.

Each class provides a safe place for students to discover their true potential, young and old, from beginners to the advanced yogis. Students will leave each class having found a place of calm and stillness in mind and an awareness of the intricacies of the body which will transcend into everyday life.
